What Makes African Basil Special?
African Basil, scientifically known as *Ocimum gratissimum* and commonly referred to as Mujaja in Uganda and East Africa. A well known cherished herb with a rich history. Traditionally brewed for tea and various medicinal purposes, it thrives wild across Africa and many parts of the world. This aromatic herb has been a staple in African households, known for its calming properties and unique flavor.

Ingredient:
African Basil dry loose leaf.
Directions:
1 tsp for a cup or 1 and 1/2 tbsp to a medium pot.
Brew loose tea and steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
Sift, drain and serve.
Makes great-tasting iced tea.
Cold Brew:
Add room temperature water to loose leaf tea, and brew for 10 to 12 Hrs.
Sift drain and serve.
Use a sweetner of your choice.
